About Us

The Saskatchewan Orchid Society (SOS) was formed in 1983 as a non-profit organization in Saskatoon, and was the Province’s first orchid society. Its founders were interested in the conservation of orchid species both native and non-native to Saskatchewan. Click here for a copy of the Society constitution

Today, we are approximately 60 members strong! At monthly meetings, orchid enthusiasts exchange cultural tips, show off their blooming plants, and share in this wonderful passion. Click here for more information on membership.

April 29th 2018: Annual Orchid Auction (Note: Date change)

This is one of our most exciting meetings and an annual hit! Whether it's a new pink phalaenopsis or a unique and hard to find cattleya, this is a great opportunity to expand your orchid collection and help support our society! In addition, come mingle, enjoy a cup of coffee, and share knowledge of orchid growing with other members. Please note that due to booking conflicts, we've had to move this meeting to April 29th. The meeting location will be at Luthercare Village.

J&L Pre-orders: Exciting news - J&L Orchids will be coming to our May meeting! Click here for pre-order details!
